Poetry or Politics
The blood. The heart. The love. The power. The vitality. The red is the colour that arouses extreme emotions and douses mediocrity from our lives. Shades of gray keep a safe distance from it.
The colour of the warm liquid that runs in every vain, has the power to bring blacks, whites, and the other shades of skins together. Call it the united colours of blood.
Paint the organ called heart in blue, green or yellow; they just don’t match. Red is the perfect tone to bring warmth and happiness in the pumping machine.
When the heart craves, the body radiates and the cheeks blush; coding it with the colour red.
It commands attention. The red is the preferred shade of every dynasty, every civilization. Not just China or Cuba but it has found its place also in the flags of the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
A vermillion dot on a forehead often empowers mere mortals with the energy of the immortals. It’s a symbol of the goddess Shakti for a few and victory for many.
The fashion enthusiasts vouch for it. The celebrities admire it.  The designers get inspired by it. It has been in fashion for ages. The must have hue of every wedding trousseau. No makeup kit is complete without a shade of red for eyes, lips and nails.
The red has the gory side to it. The colour that warns about impending dangers; if ignored, life comes to a halt. At times, it is adrenal and scary.
Surely, it’s a colour that invites myriad interpretations. Charismatic, dramatic, or drastic. Define red your way.

Ecology or Economy.
The Grass. The Forest. The Vegetables. Classify them under the banner of nature with Green as the house colour. One of the primary colours that makes the planet livable. It’s refreshing. It’s rejuvenating. It’s reviving for every creature that inhales and exhales. The Green is the balance of nature. The Green is essential.
The Green provides food and supplies fodder. Green revolutions across the world ensure that granaries remain full throughout the year.
The guardians of the Green are fighting every day to retain its pristine colour. If the colour fades, the nature gets marooned.
The currency from Uncle Sam’s country has the same colour. The wads of Green often create ripple in the world. It dictates. It dominates. It destroys stock exchanges, markets and even countries. The gleam of Green is irresistible. It draws blacks, whites, browns and yellows of the world in its country with one goal- minting green. The Green card is the only passport that takes them to their goals.
The atlas has a country called Green Land. Contrary to its name, the land and people of the country are covered with white flakes of snow, all seasons.
Painters and poets fancy the colour.  That’s why the envy is often quoted in green. The films with paranormal activities have an overdose of green. The Hulk is usually seen in the shades of green and not to forget the cute little character called Android.
The Green is ecology. The Green is economy.  Who over powers whom? Who is indispensible? Surely, the colour Green in stores a lot of debates and discussions. Choose your side and join the talk.

Contemporary or Classic.
The Sky.  The Sea. The Royals. The Uniforms. The colour Blue has it all; the vastness of the sky, the depth of the ocean, the regality of the aristocrats and the rhythm of the workers.
The flying kites and birds, or the sites of sunrise and sunset, every view look spectacular on the Blue canvas called the Sky.
Call it a sea or a shade card of the Blue. Navy blue, Cobalt blue, Turquoise blue are just some of the few hues deep inside the sea.
The blue is contemporary. The blue is innovation. No wonder it is the tone of the millennium.
The world is riding high on the technology and blue is its house colour. Just think of Samsung, Windows or Intel Pentium, the giants of technology look futuristic in the Blue.
Royals have gone. But the royal blue has retained its charm. The new corporate Zars have given a new glory to the colour.
Blue is melody. Blue is rhythm. The “Blues” of the dark blue collar holders has made the world to tap on its tunes.
The rock stars flash it. The young stars flaunt it. It is the uber cool colour for the move on generation.
But the flip side of the Blue is fury, violence, and destruction. The hideous shades of blue can be seen when the Man becomes an animal. Stories of tortures are often revealed in multiple tones of blue. Dab some rouge or apply heaps of makeup, nothing can hide the stories written with the blotches of Blue.
The Blue has many views. Now pick your favourite one.
