The local Cavier

Think of Cavier, think of rich and famous people of the world. It’s a delicacy known for its exquisite taste and exclusivity. It’s needless to say that its price tag makes it more precious than ever. There are many such dishes, which are rare and unique across the globe. They make the menu card of star restaurants look glamorous and boost the ego of customers.
Back in India, the trend amongst the upper echelon of society is no different. It’s one of the popular ways to display their finer tastes of life. There are a variety of rare delicacies both from the country and abroad, which are available in niche restaurants of Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore for celebrities, corporate and politicians to indulge in. These cities even have special markets and malls where all the exquisite ingredients of such dishes are available.
It’s interesting to note that the trend is spreading across the towns too. Locals have given the status of Cavier to a home grown variety of fish. The fish is so much in demand that the price shoots up to Rs. 2000 per Kg even on usual days. It vanishes from the market within a few hours of its appearance.

Undoubtedly, the aspirations of towns are catching up with cities. Savouring exquisite delicacies or indulging in luxuries of life is not just restricted to the city dwellers. Now the towns and villages are catching up in relishing life in their own ways.
