Smart or Smarter
She is sleek. She is stylish. She is sensitive. Just touch
her, she is yours. You hold her tight in your hands. You love to flaunt her in
public. You enjoy her company. She is intelligent. She enjoys movies, music,
and photography. She knows about the world. In her company you never lose your
way. She is your darling. She is your sweet heart. Nights after nights you flirt
with her. She never complains. She is neither tired of your blabbers nor
refuses your playful advances.
No whisper. No whimper. The affair continues. It’s hard for
you to breathe without her. She is your priority; let the family wait for you
at the dining table. She is bright. She is charming. After all, she doesn’t
whine like the lady sharing your bed. Your nights are now dedicated for her. It
doesn’t matter that she is drifting you away from your loved ones.
At work, it’s all official. She shares your work station and
your work load too. Business and pleasure go hand in hand together. You work.
You talk. You giggle. So what, she steals your power of concentration, eats up
your precious work hours or pulls down your performance graph. You are hooked
to her and your world crumbles without her.
It’s hard to take off your hands from her. You fiddle with her while you are behind
the steering wheels. You may crush yourself or others; so what, everything is
fair in love.
Catching up with friends over a cup of coffee, it is so
passé. She is there to share your messages and joke with your friends. She
ensures that no one comes closer to you. She imprisons you with her charismatic
maneuvers of light, sound and music.
Don’t think her services are free. Every month she charges a
hefty amount. But the bill doesn’t pinch you at all. You are ready to pay more
for her. Even at the cost of cutting down other necessary expenses. Your long
live-in relationship with her may hamper your health. Do you care?
Next time before you pick her up, just think once. Who is
smarter, you or your smart phone?
